Greetings from: Mr. Filippo Mario Stirati (Mayor of Gubbio)

GUBBIO PROUD TO BE PROMOTED AS THE CAPITAL OF HILL CLIMB WITH ITS CHAMPIONS

It is with great pride and deep satisfaction that I welcome you, together with the entire city, to the incredible appointment of the Fia Hill Climb Masters form 12 to 14 October. This will be certainly a competion but also a fantastic celebration, that will promote Gubbio as the European Capital of Hill Climb.

The spectacular Bottaccione's gorge, that for Hill Climb fans is already identified as the historic "Trofeo Fagioli" will be an unique scene of a very special event, with the spotlight of the world focused on this biennial event, so awaited by the motorsport world. It will be the most beautiful medieval city to host for the first time in Italy, teams from 20 different countries that will be participating in the Nation Cup which is a sort of Olympics.
We know that this important result comes from constant hard work, true passion, especially from CECA "Comitato Eugubino Corse Automobilistiche" which boasts a demonstrated ten - year professionality, and to whom goes the most heart- felt gratitude. These feelings go of course to Fia "Federation International Automobile" to ACI Sport, and to all of those people who in different ways contributed to the success of this event. For us this occasion is a further opportunity to show our warm hospitality, our beautiful attractions up to international challenges. Gubbio, city of sport and friendship, wishes to all the drivers, success, and to all the participants a warm welcome, hoping that you will find hospitality up to your expectations and harmony between the union of nature, culture, art and tourism.

Mr. Filippo Mario Stirati
Mayor of Gubbio
